8 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech, include Chefchaouen, Meknes & Fes guided tour, You will visit the south east Morocco and its treasure berber villages, Ziz valley of palmtrees, Aitbenhaddou kasbah in Ouarzazate and a camel trekking excursion in the sahara desert by spending a night under a luxury camp with a private tent.
Itinerary: 8 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech
DAY 1: TANGER TO CHEFCHAOUEN:
On the first day of your trip we will meet you at the port or at the airport and drive through the Rif mountains passing through the city of Tetoun to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains until you reach Chefchaouen one of the impressive villages at the foot of Rif mountains. The medina of Chefchaouen had a Spanish-style plaza surrounded by many art and craft shops, restaurants and cafes on the rooftop where you will have lunch before continuing on our way to Fez where we will spend the night in a Moroccan riad.
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES:
After your breakfast in the riad our trip will start towards Volubilis crossing via Wazan and other villages of rif, in Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and to know about the archaeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit of the ruins we will change our way To the city of Meknes where we will take a break for lunch and hang around the huge historical walls of the medina, bab el mansour and enjoy a visit to the sanctuary of moulay ismail. After the visit of Meknes we will go directly to the city of Fez where we will spend the night in riad.
DAY 3: DISCOVERING FES:
After breakfast in your riad, you will begin to discover the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys. Our visit contains the door of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarters, the first Mellah built in Morocco, built during the sixteenth century. We will make sure you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – MERZOUGA:
After breakfast at your hotel you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will travel through the attractive Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz valley, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal desert tracks as you approach the town of Errachidia, Here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel through the exuberant Ziz Valley, stopping to enjoy panoramic views along Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. You will travel on a quiet camel to spend a night in the desert camp with Berber music and boarding of sand.
DAY 5: MERZOUGA – GORGES DE TODRA – VALLE DE DADES:
We will get up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara before making our way back by camels to our guest house for breakfast and take a shower. Then we will go through the mountains of Saghro. We will arrive at the Todra Gorge where we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch and we will take a short walk through the gorge before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 6: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH:
After breakfast, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley is the way to the thousand kasbahs. Providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We will stop at Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for lunch, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber caciques of the early twentieth century, used to be one of his stops during his long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech. Now, the kasbah is one of UNESCO’s heritage sites. After that we will change the way to cross high atlas mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages along the way until we reach Marrakech. Night in a riad in the medina.
DAY 7: VISIT THE CITY OF MARRAKECH:
After breakfast in the riad, you can start discovering Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will make sure that you see the most important sites of historical. And cultural interest, such as the Majorelle gardens. The Koutoubia tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you can walk through the souks and see hundreds of crafts. In the afternoon, you will have free time to visit the other parts of the city.
